Hey Damru. An AI voice assistant for your desktop, by Codeintelli.

The first sound of your workday.

Damru is a small helper that lives at the top of your screen. Bring your own AI, say its name, and get through your day with fewer windows and fewer interruptions.

Coming soon to desktop, starting with Linux.

Why the name

Named after the first sound.

The damru is the small hourglass drum of Lord Shiva. In Indian tradition, its beat is the first sound of creation: the rhythm that set everything in motion.

We gave our helper the same job. Be the first sound of your workday, and get everything moving.

Say it DUM-roo. We named it after the drum, a symbol, rather than a sacred name, so the meaning is kept with respect.

Always there, never in the way

It waits at the top of your screen.

A small tab with Damru peeking out. Nothing pops up over your work.

It taps you only when it matters.

Hover the top edge to peek: a deploy went live, a call starts in two minutes.

One press, and everything is there.

Click the tab or press Ctrl + Shift + Space. Esc hides it again.

  • Ctrl + Shift + Space: open
  • Ctrl + Alt + Space: talk
  • Ctrl + Alt + V: clipboard

What it handles

One helper. Six fewer things on your mind.

Talk and ask

Say “Hey Damru” and ask anything. Answers are read aloud, with web research when you need it. Works with Claude, OpenAI, Gemini or OpenRouter.

Your coding agents

Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor and more in one Agents tab: live steps, diffs, Allow or Deny, and their questions answered without switching windows.

One inbox for notifications

Every desktop notification lands in Damru instead of popping up everywhere. Mute noisy apps. Focus sessions hold them until you’re done.

Files and clipboard

Drop any file on Damru to ask about it, summarise it or email it. Clipboard history with search, pins and one-tap paste.

Your business, connected

GitHub, Vercel, Stripe, n8n, Resend, Notion and Cal.com show up as live pills and nudge you when something changes. Growfone, GrowBrand and SelfCRM are coming next.

Wellbeing and focus

Water reminders, stretch and eye breaks, focus sessions, a morning briefing, and reminders in plain words: “remind me at 5 to call Ravi”.

Your key. Your computer.

Bring your own AI. Keep your own data.

Damru doesn’t lock you into one AI. Add your own key for the one you already trust, and switch whenever you like.

Your key, your choice

Claude, OpenAI, Gemini or OpenRouter. You pay your provider directly.

Locked in your keychain

Keys are encrypted with your computer’s own system keychain.

“Hey Damru” is heard on your computer

The wake word is recognised locally. Only your question goes to your AI.

Everything stays on your computer

Your inbox, clipboard, reminders and settings live on your machine.

Coming next

Calls, content and customers. One voice.

Our own products are coming to Damru. Each one lights Damru in its own colour, so you know at a glance what needs you.

Growfone

Incoming and missed calls, new messages. Reply or call back from Damru.

“Hey Damru, who called while I was in the meeting?”

Growfone: AI business phone

GrowBrand

Scheduled and published posts, campaign results, approvals waiting.

“Hey Damru, what’s scheduled to post today?”

GrowBrand: Marketing workspace

SelfCRM

New leads, follow-ups due today, deal stage changes.

“Hey Damru, which follow-ups are due?”

SelfCRM: CRM you host yourself

Works today

  • GitHub: PRs, reviews, CI
  • Vercel: Deploys
  • Stripe: Today’s revenue
  • n8n: Failed workflows
  • Resend: Bounced emails
  • Notion: Save any answer
  • Cal.com: Join button
  • Now playing: Any player

How it helps, hour by hour

From your first coffee to logging off.

  1. Sit down. Damru greets you with a morning briefing: today’s meetings, reviews waiting, reminders, revenue so far.
  2. Deep work. Start a focus session. Notifications wait quietly in the Inbox.
  3. Your agent needs you. Claude Code asks to run a command. You tap Allow from Damru without switching windows.
  4. Water. Damru nudges you for a glass. One tap logs it.
  5. Meeting. A Join button appears two minutes before your Cal.com call.
  6. Paperwork. Drop a contract on Damru and ask for the key points. Email it in one click.
  7. Wrap up. Clear the Inbox, check tomorrow’s reminders, and you’re done for the day.

Coming to phones

Hands-free, even on the road.

On a phone, Damru rises from the bottom of the screen, so you never lose your place. Designed to work hands-free while you drive.

  1. Resting on your home screen
  2. “Hey Damru”, and it waves hi
  3. It listens, then thinks
  4. It answers out loud. Done.
